View of pool, water feature wall and ipe deck. The bamboo privacy wall behind the deck will create privacy and seclusion from the road backing up to the lot.

The modern, prairie style water feature wall was designed to imply water is coming from behind the wall.

View of pool, hardscaping, and deck from seating area alongside house. Cascading heights and material layers add height and balance to the space.

Custom raw steel planter carries the modern prairie style architectural elements throughout the space. Trailing rosemary serves as an edible landscape.

Custom made, modern playset matches the modern aesthetic of the environment. Landscaping carries angular pool design throughout yard space.

Large geometric planters repeat the angular patterns throughout the project, bringing cohesion to the gated entrance from the front yard.

The need for multiple walkways throughout the yard space was softened by the use of large natural flagstone set directly in the lawn.

The existing shed created a fun opportunity to intentionally bring the structure into the design. Plant materials accent the shed and extend life into it's space

To preserve the existing tree when raising the yard, a steel tree well was built around the tree and backfilled with river rock for breathability and protection.

Horsetail reed is carried throughout the varied landscapes to mirror the linear feel and texture of the bamboo privacy wall.

We created a much more open feel to the space by replacing the stonework and arbor with a minimalistic angular ipe deck.

To meet the city's drainage easement restrictions, we installed the deck out of grade with concrete pedestals. We built around the magnolia tree to preserve it and provide shade cover.

The pool was designed so that the angles point your eye toward the established magnolia tree, an important feature of the property.

The repeated use of drystacked stone and low, linear design of the firepit accent the water feature wall. Pool lighting adds to the ambient nighttime feel.
