Our design for Westglow Lane incorporated all the outdoor living areas our clients requested including the creation of a sunken courtyard that is the focal point of their landscape. The elements the clients wanted to include were fire and water which were designed into the courtyard to be viewed from multiple vantage points from the home and landscape.

This before photo shows how the site was left by the previous contractor - a giant crater in the ground. The goal of the new design was to minimize further enviornmental impact to the site by designing to the existing conditions.

This 3-D rendering allowed our clients to visualize what the finished project would look like. This is a great tool to also assist with the selection of materials as well. We created numerous renderings to assist our clients in their decision-making process for the final implementation.

A relaimed brick veneer was locally found and used throughout this project that matched the veneer on the house perfectly. This fully equipped kitchen includes a grill, warming drawers, ice buckets, trash enclosure and necessary storage.

The backyard takes advantage of the amazing views of the front range of Colorado as the clilents are able to enjoy the picturesque sunsets nightly.

The upper patio provides an entertaining area that can easily be transformed from an intimate family gathering space into an area that can hosts large get togethers with family and friends.

Both fire features create warmth and visual aesthetics that can be enjoyed year round. The fire elements were custom designed and fabricated to architecturally create spaces that can be enjoyed from multiple levels of the outdoor living space.

The concrete firebowl gives the illusion it is floating on water. An automatic remote ignition allows the feature to be enjoyed with the click of a button.

The lower sunken pation creates an area of privacy for the homeowners as the property is adjacent to a popular pedestrian greenbelt. The family can be found wathcing Denver Bronco football games in the fall while keeping cozy by the fire.

The water wall creates an ambiance that can be enjoyed visually from inside as well as audibly from the white noise created as the water cascades over the sutra-stone veneer.

Wrought-iron railings were added at the completion of the project for safety purposes and to add a modern feel to the space.

Colorado is a state that experiences over 300 days of sunshine a year and the creation of this space has enhanced the lifestyle for our clients as they spend more time outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather year-round.
