The main entrance sets the landscape standard for the entire community, combining layered seasonal color, ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, mature trees and carefully maintained turf around the signature stone monument. Seasonal color has been expanded significantly beyond the original landscape plan to create greater impact at high-visibility locations such as this entrance.

Steep grades, stormwater infrastructure, fencing and adjoining natural areas create maintenance challenges very different from the more formal residential portions of the community. Specialized crews maintain these slopes, BMP areas, perimeter turf and natural edges while protecting a clean appearance along highly traveled roads and walking trails.

This aerial illustrates the scale and environmental setting of the community surrounding its historic 17-acre lake. Our responsibility extends throughout the developed neighborhoods, common areas, natural areas, lakefront edges and recreational spaces, requiring coordination across a property that will ultimately encompass approximately over 300 acres.

The main boulevard demonstrates the level of consistency required across expansive common areas, including warm-season turf, extensive tree plantings, pine-straw beds and pedestrian corridors. As construction progresses along the boulevard, our teams continually transition new landscape into maintenance while repairing disturbances created by ongoing development and utility work.

Every occupied residence receives the same attention expected in the community’s major common areas, creating a consistent landscape experience from home to home. Our maintenance team currently cares for hundreds of individual single-family homes and townhomes while new residences are continuously being added to the property.

Resort-style amenities add another layer of landscape complexity, with the clubhouse, pool, courts, pedestrian areas and surrounding plantings requiring a polished appearance while remaining heavily used by residents. These high-visibility spaces are incorporated into the same coordinated horticultural, turf and detail programs used throughout the community.

This view demonstrates the extraordinary scale of the landscape operation and the challenge of maintaining consistency across multiple neighborhoods and housing collections. Installation and maintenance teams work together as the community expands, with approximately 6–10 new residential landscapes being installed and transitioned directly into ongoing maintenance each month.

Newly installed residential landscapes are immediately incorporated into our maintenance program so turf, trees and foundation plantings establish quickly and meet the client’s expectations before and after homeowner move-in. Particular attention is given during the first 90 days of occupancy, when landscape presentation is especially important to the homeowner experience.

The townhome sections require maintaining a consistent landscape standard across a much denser residential environment with numerous individual lawns, foundation plantings, sidewalks and homeowner interfaces. Dedicated management and a structured work-order system allow the team to respond to resident landscape concerns quickly while maintaining the broader community.

High-visibility residential and model-home areas receive additional horticultural attention through enhancements, expanded seasonal color and detailed bed maintenance. These improvements go beyond basic contract requirements and support the client’s goal of creating a premium landscape experience that complements the quality of the homes themselves.

Maintaining this level of uniformity across hundreds of individual residences requires coordinated mowing, turf management, pruning, weed control, irrigation awareness and detailed bed care. The result is a consistent streetscape even though individual landscapes vary in age and new homes continue to be added throughout the community.

Rather than accepting a decline in presentation between fading summer annuals and the winter flower installation, our team proposed an additional fall rotation using yellow and white chrysanthemums. This third seasonal-color installation maintains strong entrance impact through the transition period and is an example of proactive recommendations designed to exceed the client’s original landscape program.
