View from the back of the lawn looking towards the new home, with the same three large Live Oaks in the foreground, showing the size and scale of this large estate garden planting. Lush Zoysia lawns were important to this client so that their grandkids would have lots of room to run and play about. Plants inside the bed were a mixture of variegated pittosporum, azaleas, giant Liriope, multiple varieties of fern, hydrangea, mondo grass, and ornamental trees.

View from the house down the main breezeway towards the main residence, showing a large Live Oak surrounded by river cobble as the main focal feature to this path. Azaleas, fern and mondo grass line the bed on the left, while Zoysia lawn aligns the path on the right. The homeowner desired this walkway to be solid enough for easy access while not disturbing any native tree root structures with concrete and re-bar. We constructed this walkway from Pennsylvania bluestone set to a random rectangle pattern on a crushed sand and concrete sub-base, so as to allow for future movement of tree roots.
