The homeowners have found that after a few hours of tending the garden they can simply turn around and relax in the cool waters of the pool.

By laying out the shape of the pool and marking the heights of the waterfalls ahead of construction reassured the homeowners of the decision to locate the pool downhill from its original location

A circle in the pool, called the Beach', was designed as a shallow area that allowed lounge chairs to set in the water and take advantage of the cool affects of the water without getting immersed

The water feature was designed not only as a focal element but also as a destination area. Stone slab steps ascend to a small seating area allowing wonderful vistas of the pool and remaining property

The outdoor kitchen was tucked in near the house so that the BBQ wall would not impede views from the patio. However the placement still allowed people at the bar and pool to enjoy the TV.

Inspired by the movie 'The Secret Garden' the homeowner wanted to include a secluded garden area to enjoy parties with her grandchildren

To ensure the curbed paths would not trap storm water the subbase was pitched away from the house. However the finished gravel was graded nearly flat to allow for smooth transition from the Pool Garden.

The Installation Team kept photographs of natural waterfalls to inspire them as they set the stone for the pool stream.

The Installation Team took great pride in scrutinizing each placement of the stones and plant. They wanted to make sure that it turned out better than the homeowners expectations.

The elevation of the waterfalls is just high enough to enjoy the cascading water from the built-in benches in the Lagoon

The Design Team designed the spa with its own waterfall. The waterfall was orientated toward the upper seating area, and to create a nice rippling effect in the pool enforcing the natural feel of the space.

The view from the pool's shallow 'Beach' area show how the contrived rise in the grade melded almost naturally with the indigenous landscape

Pockets of plant beds were designed into the pool patio to help define living spaces and enhance the natural feel of the design
