Many live oaks are planted throughout the raised beds to provide shade and depth to the garden. Pieces of antiquity provide interest throughout the garden.

Everyday each container is detailed by deadheading, the removal of debris, and pruning for uniform size, shape, and separation. Nellie Steven hollies provide privacy and depth to the garden and also allow for the Dallas skyline views.

Gravel beds are kept free of debris and raked daily. All hardscapes are blown every morning in effort to keep the garden free of debris and litter.

Two Mexican Beach Pebble dry river beds are kept free of dirt, mulch, and debris and the river rock is hand placed and maintained in a fish scale pattern to keep with the Asian Garden theme. Daily foot traffic requires continual restoration of the landscape.

Containers are used to create welcoming entrances to the building and are treated as design elements to the garden.

Common plant material to the garden include Asian Jasmine, juniper, azalea, Japanese maple, crepe myrtle, Indian hawthorne, dwarf yaupon holly, wisteria, bamboo, bald cypress, live oak, magnolia, Nelly R Stevens holly, mondo grass, cleyera, cast iron plant, sedum, and yaupon holly tree.

Large juniper beds are carefully monitored for over/under watering. Water features are cleaned out daily and lighting inspected to assure a perfect scene. The Asian themed garden continues to provide a tranquil environment for people to visit and appreciate.
