The new landscape features an informal palette of stone and native plantings. The pool and spa are located on the only flat area of the property.
-
Stone slab steps lead visitors up the hill from the pool terrace through a series of small spaces.
-
Looking down on the pool, one can see the how the natural stone and casual plant palette create a cohesive and welcoming environment.

-
The steep slope and narrow space become more apparent as one moves around the side of the house.
-
Before: This area used to be an uninviting space with no plants, used only as a pass-through.
-
The wall-to-wall gravel was removed from this space and replaced with inviting plantings and a custom putting green.
-
Before: The sunken courtyard had unnecessary changes in floor level and no planting space before this project.
-
The renovated courtyard has a raised floor, an impressive water feature, a new spiral staircase, and ample planting beds to soften the space.
-
The water feature makes use of a previously existing vertical recess in the wall, and the new spiral staircase directs the view of each person entering the space toward this inviting new feature.
