We designed & built a complete out door space for this traditional style home. The design and materials used were meant to tie the new space back to the architecture of the house so the project feels like an extension of the house.
-
Features include a dining & seating area, outdoor kitchen area, and a fire pit.

-
The new outdoor kitchen area serves as an outdoor wall which provides enclosure for the centrally located seating area. The slate roof on the new structure matches the slate on the house.
-
The outdoor kitchen includes a gas grill, side burner, refrigerator, trash enclosure, storage, and bar height seating. We have installed under pavement heating from the kitchen door to the kitchen area so the grilling area can be accessed all winter without shoveling the snow.
-
The central axis of the kitchen leads your eye to a water feature focal point.
-
The open ceiling structure provides a light airy feeling and provides opportunity for dramatic up lighting of the ceiling detail.
-
The seating and fire pit area provides a scenic over look of this suburban back yard.
-
The entrance from the driveway is framed by a pergola which accents the center line axis to the fire pit and water feature. The stone columns of the pergola tie back to the existing stone on the chimney.
-
A photo taken during construction. Careful layout was required to ensure all the features lined up properly and that all of underground drainage, electric, gas lines, and AV lines were incorporated into the structures.
-
The brick pavers accentuate the circular fire pit and curved seating wall; they serve as an outdoor rug which further defines the space.
-
The new patio area is an extension of the house, creating a true outdoor room.
