Before: Existing lawn area, prior to construction.

Construction Phase: We installed the patio on a Silva Cell support system, which required us to perform specific excavation and backfill details.

Logistics: The entire terrace improvement was executed above a large ~20' tall structural retaining wall. All materials had to be brought in via a single lane access channel through the site, or via crane. Our excavation activities were particularly critical to insure that the retaining wall geogrid was not compromised.

Approach: A view of the completed terrace, as approached from the road. All spoil haul-off, and material import had to occur via this small access point. We installed several large tree plantings across the site.

Entry: The entry to the terrace as it is approached from the front of the building. The paving had to seamlessly integrate with the existing building's entry paving.

Egress path approach: The terrace as seen from the approach via the egress pathway. We installed the Plantings, precast benches with wood tops, pavilions and concrete pavers

Garden area: Our scope included the sand set concrete pavers with accent bands, precast benches and garden-style plantings. We also installed the powdercoated alumnium planters at the front and rear of the building.

Egress path approach continued: Newly installed landscape plantings included large trees, shrubs and perennials.

Lounge Area: Mortar-set porcelain pavers abut concrete pavers to the south (far) and granite pavers to the north. We also installed the two custom shade pavilions sourced from Spain.

Lounge area continued: The Silva Cell system that we installed below the patio allowed us to install encapsulated tree plantings throughout the hardscape area.

Fire pit: We installed the granite paving, precast lounge seating, custom cushions and gas firepit.

North overlook: Granite paving abutted soapstone paving at the bar area. We constructed the bar from precast bases and oversized granite tops to match the paving. We also provided the large screen tree plantings at the north end of the terrace

West view: Granite paving throughout meets various precast bench seating. Custom designed manhole covers were provided as well.

Overview South : River rock was provided to prevent mulch washout from the sheet draining occurring from the patio. Our installation of custom fabricated and powdercoated edging had to be coordinated with slab dimensions.
