This picture is oriented Southwest and shows some of the challenges of the project including the East portion of the garden which sustains mostly dense shade throughout the day. Virginia Sweetspires were installed with Rudbeckia and Scarlet Sage on the section of the garden due to their ability to handle heavies shade conditions.

This picture faces Northwest and shows the path we intended to have the employees walk to enjoy the garden. We also kept the point of view from the cafeteria (large widows in background) in mind by installing ascending tiers of plant material from that perspective..

The foreground is an area dedicated to hosting events. The campus plans to hold yoga classes, meditation sessions, social events, departmental parties, and lunch breaks in this location.

While designing we wanted to include several entrances to the pathway so no matter what direction you come from you can start there. We also designed the beds so that the plant material ascends by tiers no matter where you are along the pathway.

We includes several locations for future furniture to be located. In the middle of the picture you can see an area they are planning to include a bird bath.
