Settling in one of Denver's most prestigious neighborhoods, they found their dream home, but the expansive one-acre yard remained a blank canvas. With boundless possibilities at their disposal, the clients turned to our firm for a comprehensive solution, entrusting us with the complete management of the project.

Having recently relocated to Denver, this couple sought our expertise to design a backyard that would serve as a personal sanctuary, perfect for entertaining friends and family while also fostering connections with new neighbors. What better way to encourage gatherings than by incorporating the ever popular pickleball court into their new outdoor retreat?

This before photo shows the existing main upper patio, featuring a large, blank concrete surface. This western facing patio was exposed to intense afternoon sun. Our designer aimed to transform this area into a seamless extension of the interior, creating a space that was both inviting and functional while preserving the breathtaking mountain views.

An oversized firepit, complemented by a concentric seat wall crafted from materials that match the home, anchors the expansive outdoor patio.

To provide respite from the intense sun, we flanked each side of the patio with large umbrellas, creating shaded areas where the clients can dine and relax in comfort. Large planters were filled with hydrangea trees and complemented by a blend of petunias, zinnias, surfinias, and alyssum, all adhering to the client’s requested all-white color palette.

The client sought a design that would reflect the home’s formal elegance while incorporating all desired amenities. Our designer crafted a layout that ensured the entire property was accessible and fully utilized, blending sophistication with functionality.

The backyard space's juxtaposed forms, textures, and colors were thoughtfully integrated to establish a meaningful dialogue between each area, resulting in a functional and enjoyable space that celebrates both style and purpose.

A mid-construction addition when the clients decided to incorporate a pool house into the design. Our firm crafted an elegant pool house that harmoniously complements the home's architecture, ingeniously connected via a breezeway to navigate structural restrictions, and maintain design continuity.

Our outdoor furniture team curated all the furnishings for the site, including the addition of whimsical scalloped umbrellas and custom bolster pillows for the chaise lounges. These playful elements introduced a charming contrast to the formal patio and gardens, creating a harmonious balance that enhanced the backyard’s overall ambiance.

The pool house equipped with a fireplace, overhead heaters, a large 60" television, a full wet bar, and intimate seating, the pool house became the ultimate game day retreat.

Mass plantings of hydrangeas were strategically incorporated throughout the property, adhering to the client's desire for an all-white color palette and enhancing the cohesive elegance of the design.

Adjacent to the master suite, this patio was designed to evoke a spa-like retreat. Our vision was to create a tranquil space where the clients could savor their morning coffee in the comfort of their robes, shielded from neighboring properties and the ongoing construction activity.

Recognizing that this courtyard would be the family's primary space for daily use, the client requested year-round functionality. To meet this need, our team integrated overhead heaters and designed a comprehensive outdoor kitchen, complete with a grill, smoker, and refrigerator, ensuring the space is both versatile and inviting throughout the year.

One of our favorite pieces on the property is the oversized daybed, which we adorned with nautical roping to introduce an organic texture, complemented by a variety of throw pillows. This space was specifically designed with the wife of the household in mind, recognizing the challenges of moving to a new city without knowing anyone. Our goal was to create a tranquil oasis for her, offering an escape from the construction chaos—a serene sanctuary where she could find peace.
