The landscape around the comfortable seating is designed and maintained to provide open space on one side of the terraces and native plants that dance in the wind. Complete with filtered and chilled water stations completed the amenity areas.

The Redwood Shores campus is a native photographers paradise. Kangaroo Paws are planted next to Milkweed, a plant that hosts hundreds of Monarch butterflies larvae. Behind the turf area is a semi natural landscape consisting of Carex, Salvia and Shasta Daisies.

This previous pond was converted to a butterfly garden consisting of native, Salvia, Yarrow and Shasta Daisies bordered by a dry creek bed at the edge to define the walkway. The landscape technicians are specifically trained to keep a esthetic natural look

Trees are a big componet of this beautiful landscape. Jacarandas, Birch, Maples, Willow and Magnolias dot the landscape providing shade, interest and a sense of tranquility. The trees are deep watered through specific water management plan to avoid overwatering and under watering in this windy setting.

As you exit the amenity areas away from the buildings, you enter a panoramic setting of grass areas to play activities such as volleyball and soccer. These areas are heavily used by business employees as well as the general public. Keeping these turf areas safe, attractive and with the right amount of moisture require constant turf management.

Special care is taken when pruning and lifting trees to allow for safety clearance that retains the natural form of the trees. All plant material on the site has special maintenance guidelines that require special care including fine details such as pruning, dead heading, seed harvesting and propagation.
