Since 2022, we have transformed this client's front yard, completely remodeling the beds and turf areas. The client had us remodel the landscape before their planned home exterior remodel. As seen in this “before” photo, maintaining lush, green turf and vibrant seasonal colors was a challenge previously. Our team selected the right variety of turf and seasonal plants to thrive in this specific area. As shown in the revitalized front yard, our careful selection and maintenance practices have resulted in a beautiful, year-round display.

Previously, the beds and turf were intertwined, creating a messy and unorganized look. The client desires a golf course-style cut for the front garden, which presents unique challenges. Initially, mowing the steep hillside was difficult as it could scalp the turf. Our crew has mastered the technique of raising the mower height on steep areas to maintain a consistent, professional cut throughout the lawn.

Maintaining the desired green, lush turf under the shade of a large front yard tree and neighboring trees, combined with high summer heat, was difficult. Using the right turf variety, fertilization strategies, and irrigation, we transformed the lawn into a lush, green space. The irrigation required 3 different start times due to the unique slope. When we started maintaining this garden, the neglected boxwoods needed significant help. There was spider mite damage, lack of fertilization, and no proper water management. The client feared they would have to replace them all, which would have been costly. With the expertise of our agronomist, we restored the boxwoods to health.

With our agronomist's assistance, we revived the boxwoods using Topbuxus, a product that prevents and treats fungal diseases, thus avoiding costly removal and replacement. Additionally, we implemented a water management and fertilization program to ensure their continued health. This earned the client's trust in our ability to handle challenging areas.

The client loved the front yard's color so much that we incorporated it into the back garden. We remodeled the back flowerbed and synchronized the seasonal color changes with the front, creating a cohesive look. This unified design enhances the overall aesthetic appeal and creates a seamless transition between the front and back gardens.

As the neighborhood grew rapidly, the client wanted a privacy screen for the front garden. The pre-existing hollies were failing to meet that need as they were not lush enough to provide the desired level of privacy.

The pre-existing Hollies have thrived with our fertilization and care. Our tree care division trims the hedges to maintain an appropriate height, ensuring they don't obstruct views or sunlight, while still maintaining privacy. This ongoing maintenance has kept the Hollies healthy and visually appealing, contributing to the overall landscape's success.
