Completed atrium project including synthetic lawn patio with concrete steppers, concrete paver perimeter, irrigation, drainage, and plant material per design layout.
-
The atrium prior to beginning the project consisted of large, established, Crape Myrtles, Live Oaks and Asian jasmine beds. Irrigation was not functioning and there was water infiltration problems due to a lack of proper drainage.
-
The only access to the atrium was through a hallway to the service parking lot. We were only able to deliver and remove materials one wheel barrow at a time. The client was concerned about damage in the hallway so we added Masonite on approximately 200 ft of hallway wall and floor.
-
The first portion of the project, after plant removal, was to rebuild the drainage and irrigation. The existing drainage and irrigation systems were completely destroyed from years of neglect and tree root damage.
-
All new drainage was routed through the existing storm drains.
-
In order to ensure proper grading, we had to raise the existing storm drains by creating custom forms.
-
Finished drainage and irrigation of atrium patio. The next phase was to install the concrete pavers around the perimeter of the atrium and raise the grade in the center for the synthetic patio.
-
The next phase was to build the raised patio. We have to add several yards of soil to bring the grade up to ensure property drainage.
-
Installation of anchor concrete for synthetic patio lawn and concrete stepper. It was very important to shoot the elevation of the steppers and synthetic anchor to insure proper drainage and level patio.
-
Finished concrete steppers for patio portion of the project.
-
Finished synthetic patio portion of the project.
-
Beds were then laid out and adjusted to meet the design layout and the clients expectations.
-
Installation of plants per the design layout. There were slight changes to the planting plan based on drainage lines, etc.
-
Final portion was to install new PVB and smart irrigation controller. This was then painted black to not be noticeable.
-
Finished install A
-
Finished install B
-
Design layout. The plan was changed slightly due to drainage lines and to drain effectively.
